Knock! Knock! Who's There!

Mommy wants to apologize for the wake-up calls you are receiving from Daddy! He seems to be interested in trying to get your attention by knocking & tapping on my belly. Yes, he keeps saying your name (hoping you like it), trying to get you to respond with a kick or nudge. I get to feel you moving around in there all day, and Daddy feels you moving in the evenings after dinner, but this morning you started our day out perfect. Daddy was tapping gently to see if you were awake. He'd tap & wait, tap & wait. All of a sudden you tapped back! It was the neatest thing. "There she is", daddy said. I told him you were trying to tell him to leave you alone so you could keep sleeping, but we were both so excited with your response he tapped a few more times & of course you answered back.

Thanks little one for a great start to our Friday morning! We love you very much!

Our Vow to Baby Forlines & Blogging

Dear Little One~

OK! So it's been nearly 4+ months & many events taking place since mommy & daddy last wrote. Your daddy & I are making a vow today, to you, Baby Forlines, stating that we promise to write to you & share all of the exciting news & happenings with family & friends through "The Forlines Family" blog at least once a week (if not more) from here on out! There are many things we have experienced with you during the last 4 months that we really want to share with everybody! And are looking forward to what lies ahead in November, December & January.

1st Time

So many special times & so very fast the time has gone by. Everyday we are closer & closer to meeting you & every day we continue to love you even more. Keep growing little one & we can't wait to meet you.

It's Official!

Dear Baby Forlines,

We are starting to tell our exciting news to all of our friends, relatives and neighbors. Although many people were suspicious, we just didn't feel comfortable announcing your presence until we heard your heartbeat; and that we did on Wednesday July 2, 2008. That strong and ever so fast beat was certainly the highlight of our day. It's amazing to think that all of our decisions from here on forward have to be made with you in mind; what is best for you and for us as a family. There are so many thoughts running through our heads right now...so many decisions we have to make. But we take each day at a time, and can't wait to meet you.

We can honestly say that pregnancy is off to a great start. Mommy is feeling great, but tired. She feels quite "blah" most of the time, but that's much better than being nauseous and sick. She has had some cravings for banana popsicles.

So we are at 12 weeks and counting...we'll continue to check in and send our love to you. We pray that our prenatal tests prove that you are a healthy baby and can't wait to see you at our 20 week ultrasound. And finally, your due date...January 18th...when you will get to meet all of our family and friends, who are some of the most amazing and caring people. We can't wait!!
